What are the common structures of shredders?

A shredder is a machine used for coarse shredding. It is mainly used to process unprocessed raw materials and scraps to make them smaller in size. The equipment is mainly used in the recycling industry. Compared with other crushers, the shredder has low cutter shaft speed, low noise and lower energy consumption.

The commonly used structures of shredders include two-shaft (or four-shaft) shearing type, single-shaft roller cutting type, and tearing type for coarse shredding.

1) Shear shredder

The most common one is a shearing grinder, which has two to four cutter shafts and mainly relies on the principle of “shearing and cutting” to complete the grinding process. The principle of this crusher is to crush objects like scissors.

2) Roller cutter crusher

This machine is equipped with multiple blades on a rotating knife roller, and the fixed blades are cut in half to complete the material crushing effect.

3) Tear type coarse grinder

The principle of the tearing coarse grinder is to swing the hook to tear the garbage materials.
